Its the last day of 2009. It also mark the end of the first decade of new millenium. Many people claim that this is one of the toughest decade faced by people. It started with Y2k, then Mad cow disease, SARS, Hurricane Katrina, Tsunami, H1N1, earthquakes and typhoon and many more and Tiger's 14's birdies end the first decade. Many people stay defiant, focus on the goal and overcame the disaster to start new chapter in their lives. Look at Banda Aceh, many people started their business again after tsunami swipe the whole town. They are really tough nuts. Great respect to all of them.
As for myself, it been a learning decade for myself. Start with college education, where i met my first love and she is now my wife. I begin my career in life insurance business when i'm 20 years old and it will be my 8th year in this business. It's a learning curve for me, to learn what is right and what is wrong. To many, it's a shame that i only learn this at age 20's. Should have learn it during primary school.
Thanks to my mentor which is my father. I got to say, you're the best. It's definitely not easy at all. It likes army training everyday. I accepted the challenge and it's been very very tough 365 days for myself. Change yourself if you want a better results, that is a very clear message to me. Day by day, i walk and stumble, walk and stumble, and never give up. I always said i have nothing good or special within myself, but my determination carry me through this 365 days. The determination to prove yourself is the ultimate motivation. Well, when i look back it worth every penny of it.
Along the way, more than 250 very special clients give me tremendous support. You turn my life around. Without any one of you, i will not achieve what i have today. I would like to thanks each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. I will remember everyone of you forever in my life.
To my family members, i love you all so much. You stand by me when everybody look down upon me. I know is extremely hard when somebody said bad things about their own children. Now, i able to walk again and i will keep my feet well on the ground. We are one family and we will be together forever.
Thanks to all Manulife staffs to give me great assistance all year long. Special thanks to each and everyone of you from Ipoh RSC to PJ RSC and KL HQ.
This year is a very memorable year to remember. Finally, we able to achieve what we can only dream for in the past. It started with Court of the Table (COT), Top Agent 2009, Top Rookie UM 2009, Top Unit Manager 2009, IDA Silver Dragon Award, Top Unit Manager Growth Award, Namlifa Platinum Producer Award, Namlifa Direct Group Award.
Well, it means nothing if we stop right here. Stay focus every minute to ensure achieve what we aim for. Sacrifice your leisure to ensure you get what you really wanted.
Yesterday, my mentor drop me a very educating and meaning message, i share with you guys here. It sound something like this:
"open your heart and mind. U have grown up and will soon be a father urself. U have read so many books. Be wise and fillial. Control ur ego. Take ur customers interest as paramont. Be thankful for what u had achieved. U have been made a champion by all those who help u, big and small. Rejoice and remain humble. Don't spend ur wealth away. Open ur heart to the world"
I will keep this and practice it everyday in my life. I will make you a very proud father one day.
So, lets celebrate the last day of 2009 and welcome the year 2010, the year of Tiger. Hopefully, it will be another exciting year for each and every one of us. May all your dreams come true and bringing dream to life.
