David Beckham has been recalled to the England squad for the final Euro 2008 qualifying match against Croatia and a friendly match against Co- host 2008 Austria before the crunching match.
Maybe, England want to have a "Euro 2008" feel against Austria as England look set to be shown the exit door by Russian UNLESS something dramatic happens to Russian team at Tel Aviv, Israel.
I don't think recalled of David Beckham will change the outcome anyway to be honest, even a win against Croatia is not enough and have to pray to Isreal to kick the Russian bud. To all England players, no more repetition of World Cup 2006 at Germany where their high profile princess outshine them at Germany. So, prepare for a long break sons, and watch Euro 2008 on your Plasma TV.
To McClaren, the decision to drop Beckham during the early stint of Euro qualifier proved vital and critical, i still believe Beckham will suite himself on the right midfield and supply non stop crosses to the likes of Peter Crouch, Rooney or Heskey. The decision at that time was to drop Gerard or Lampard and partnered either one of them with Barry but it didn't happen until the final few matches..
now time to say goodbye to your honeymoon england job, i still prefer foreign coaches to manage england, to bring something new to the teams, maybe Jose Mourinho would be suitable for the job, but I'm sure he won't back to England so soon especially received a whopping US$20 million compensation from Mr Roman's pocket.
Good Luck England, I'm deeply dissapointed with McClaren, and maybe Beckham will give an eye-catching performance on your final day as England manager....
I'm a Beckham fanatic fans since his best time at MU,...i will continue to watch MLS at Astro and hope your new manager Ruud Gullit will bring the "sexy" football back to American Soccer.
