A belated Happy Mooncake Festival, William.
I was surprised that when I spoke to some younger people, they didn't even know what a water caltrope (leng kok) was. When we were young the mooncake festival was always celebrated with lighted lanterns, drinking Chinese tea and eating mooncakes, water caltropes, baby yams, peanuts and melon seeds.
