Management Lesson (Chapter 5)

Woman's Ultimate Fantasy

A woman was sitting at a bar enjoying a cocktail after work one night, when the bar door opened and the most gorgeous hunk of a man she had ever seen entered. He was tall, muscular, and handsome, with thick dark hair and beautiful, sparkling green eyes, and his every movement was so masculine and sensuous that the woman could not help but stare.

The man noticed that he was the object of the woman's rapt attention, and with a sly, sexy smile, approached her. Blushing, she prepared to apologize for staring, but he leaned close and whispered in her ear. "I'll do anything," he whispered in a deep, soft voice. "Anything, absolutely anything you want, anything you have ever fantasized, for fifty dollars. There's just one condition... " Trembling with anticipation, the woman asked him the condition.

The man said, "You have to tell me what you want me to do in just three words." The women gazed into his hypnotic eyes, considering the proposition, then reached into her handbag and took out fifty dollars. She scribbled her address on a napkin, folded it around the cash, and pressed it into his waiting hand. She leaned over and whispered into his ear... "Clean... my... house."

Moral of the Story: Never ever try or think in mind to underestimate a women's ability.

Blame Nobody for Medical Expenses

Family members of 51-year-old Yek Yow Ngan, who died in a car accident after allegedly being pursued by a gang of armed men, have called for justice during her funeral. Yeong Hon had alleged that Assunta Hospital, where Yow Ngan was initially brought to, had demanded a RM10,000 deposit for treatment and wasted time treating his mother because of this issue. Assunta Hospital has denied these allegations and said Yow Ngan was given the necessary attention when she was brought in.

This morning, we had our meeting as usual and one of our agent brought up this case to discussed. Yeah, i totally feel sorry for the deceased family member for that unforseen incident. Problems such as Mat Rempit or driver with unacceptable attitude and "reaction" towards an incident is uncontrollable. If we look at different angle, Ms Yek might have said something and disturb the other party and provoke his anger.

I'm here not to judge who is right or wrong on that incident. But I thing for sure, you just can't simply blame Assuntha Hospital for not treating her mom. To me, Assuntha did nothing wrong, they just following the procedure and the right to demand upfront deposit before any operation been carried out. In today's world, in many circumstances, "no money no talk", some might argued; doctors have the responsibility and where is their moral or sympathetic and so on. Once again, "don't start the blaming game, blame ownself for everything that occurred".

The reason is because if you bought a medical insurance, this problem will not occured. The hospital will immediately arrange operation amd you can request the very best doctor. In my experience, most hospital only require a small sum of deposit for admission, unlike RM 10,000 if you do not have medical card.

Although many families already bought their medical card, some people or family still reluctant to do so because they cannot see the impact of not having one. Unless they have saving on their own. In terms of saving, you work hard every single day and what you do, save, save and save for future use. We have to accept that once day we will fall sick, again the question is "when", why you want to let your lifetime saving goes for doctors? Do we owe doctor by the time we born? The answer is NO. So folks, i still believe in "prevention is better than cure", you can argue, "insurance company always cheats" and "when u buy that time no problem and when claimed happen another story" and so many uncountable objections from customers. One thing for sure, you either transfer your "risk" to insurance company or you become the insurance company. So please don't blame anyone except ownself in whatever we do.

Tales of Banta Singh

One Singh was enjoying the sun at the beach in America. A lady came asked him, "Are you relaxing?" Singh answered," No, I am Banta Singh." Another guy came and asked him the same question. Singh answered, "No No Me Banta Singh!" Third one came and asked him the same question again. Singh was totally annoyed and decided to shift his place.
While walking he saw another Singh soaking in the sun. He went up to him and asked, "Are you Relaxing?" The other Singh was a lot more educated and answered, "Yes, I am relaxing." The Singh slapped him on his face and said, Stupid, idiot. Everyone is looking for you and you are sitting over here!"

Always Take a Step Higher

Human beings are a unique creation in the cosmic scheme of things. Unlike the untold billions of other life forms teaming on the Earth whose nature is an open and shut case human nature is not fixed.

The tiger, the horse, and the bird must express their nature. They have no real choice. And even though they may be free to choose which part of the jungle, or open range, in which they want to feed and roam, these animals have no choice as to the kind of world in which they must dwell.

The tiger can't choose to live above the jungle floor any more than a shark can decide to soar through blue skies. The tiger, horse, bird, and shark must live where they do because of what they are.

But your nature is not fixed. This is spiritual fact. You do have the freedom to choose the kind of world you call your own. Why spend your life in a steamy jungle of roaring thoughts, or in a dark valley filled with sad and worried emotions when, by choosing higher, you can live happier?

"Your days can be as cool and relaxed as a clear mountain stream, if you decide that's the life you want. But, decide you must".

Think of the largest department store you've ever shopped. Each floor of the department store displays and offers items peculiar only to it. You won't find guns and ammo sold on the same floor as books of learning; nor do you find automotive supplies where delicate lace is displayed. And so, in much the same way, the level of each of the floors in our inner mansion determine the life choices available on it.For instance, as long as you live in the basement of this mansion, you can't choose to enjoy the unrestricted cool air and natural sunlight of the first floor resting just above it.

Similarly, on the second floor you can't choose to see the beauty and panorama of the view that only the fifth floor and higher can offer. And so on it goes, all the way to higher and higher floors.Your life experiences are determined by which of these "floors" you dwell upon.

This means that each floor represents a possible life level. But, while each of these inner levels and the natural events attracted to them may be fixed, you are not. You don't have to remain on any level not of your choosing. You have the power to climb. You can change your life experiences by walking away from any of those unwanted worlds within you that create your unpleasant days. In this way, self-departure is the same as self-elevation. Your life is meant to be an upward journey.

Never Ever Give Up in Our Life

Have you ever been in a place in your life when you feel you should be further along than you are? Or maybe you wonder if you will ever reach your dreams, goals, potential, and greatness. Believe it or not, even the people that you would consider to be successful feel this same way at times. No matter where you are in life you will always know that there is more for you to achieve in order to reach your full potential.

But don't get discouraged. Look back over your life to see how far you have come and don't despise the little things. There is a great quote that says, "I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are."

You see, you are either moving forward or backward. As long as you are moving forward you will see success in your life. But the might-have-been people are the ones that stop and give up because they get discouraged. You were never meant to be a might-have-been.

You were born to be great and do great things in your life. Never lose sight of the dreams and goals that you have in your life. If there are adjustments that need to be made then make them, but don't just give up. Reach for the stars so that one day you see that you are among them.

Management Lesson (Chapter 4)

Little girl and her father were crossing a bridge. The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter, "Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river." The little girl said, "No, Dad. You hold my hand."

"What's the difference?" asked the puzzled father. "There's a big difference," replied the little girl. "If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go."

Moral of the Story: In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond. So hold the hand of the person whom you love rather than expecting them to hold urs...

Frustrating weekend reap rewards

it's not smooth sailing all the times, that is the reality. Well, last weekend was one of the toughest week i had probably for a long time. Life is damn tough, like it or not, i have to accept it. Customer demands, expectation, satisfaction have to be meet accordingly in today's competitive market. Besides, days pass so fast and in 2 days time will be the end of 6th month of the calendar year.
As the ultimate goal of the year yet to be reach, stress, eating disorder, sleep for average 6 hours a day, and went out to meet as much customers as possible to keep my target within reach. Stay focus is the key to achieve my ultimate goal and i'm still able to maintain focus, concentration although so many things happen to me probably in a week. I learn not to be a complainer, blamer, excuser.
After all the hardwork, frustration, bad times, this morning my immediate superior hand me my weekly commission statement and it was a healthy paycheck. All those hardwork paid off. I realize that what i work so hard for. Besides, i also receive a full paid trip to cambodia next year from my company. No matter what problem or crisis in front of us, stay focus, positive attitude, plan, analyze and start the action. Life is meant to be tough. Take up the challenge and continue our journey up the hill to be the very best.

Management Lesson (Chapter 3)

A man escapes from a prison where he has been kept for 15 years. He breaks into a house to look for money and guns and finds a young couple in bed. He orders the guy out of bed and ties him to a chair. While tying the girl to the bed he gets on top of her, kisses her on the neck, then gets up and goes into the bathroom.
While he's in there, the husband tells his wife:"Listen, this guy is an escaped prisoner, look at his clothes! He probably spent lots of time in jail, and hasn't seen a woman in years. I saw how he kissed your neck. If he wants sex, don't resist, don't complain, do what he tells you, just give him satisfaction, no matter how much he ravages you. This guy is probably dangerous. If he gets angry, he'll kill us.
"Be strong, honey. I love you".
To which the wife responds, "He wasn't kissing my neck. He was whispering in my ear. He told me he was gay, thought you were cute, and asked if we kept any Vaseline in the bathroom. I told him where to find it.
"Be strong, honey. I love you, too."
Moral of the Story: Don't try to be smart and judging someone while not having enough information.

Can We Retire?

With people living longer, marrying and having children later and not saving enough, facing retirement is a challenge. While there is growing awareness about the need to plan, less than 5% are prepared for retirement and fail to take into consideration inflation rates and rising medical costs.

The country is very concern on the retirement issues that i read it almost once a week. As every individual works their sock off to improve the standard of living and provide better lifestyle for their family members, almost forget on the retirement matter.

Many people on the street said "i'm still young, no worry", "i'll keep on working if my health persist", "i had EPF", and so many others answer that i received everyday single day in my job. Compare to other western countries especially in Europe and US, people start preparing their retirement at the earliest age possible one reason is the government keep on educating them on impact of not having enough retirement fund. In Ipoh people over here still very conservative in terms of thinking, most of them only trust bank because of the status. They will park all their money in there while do not care about the inflation. Some knows about it but don't seem bother them, while some really couldn't understand about inflation.

Apart from EPF, there are so many retirement tools that people can look in it. Don't put all your eggs in the same basket. Bank saving alone will never enough if we still maintain our lifestyle after retirement unless we able to save millions of dollar. On average as published on newspapaer "The Star", most EPF money gone in 3-5 years partly goes to children education and acquiring assets such as house, car or even renovate their house.

Then, medical expenses is the "giant killer" in my opinion. We will get sick one day, the question is "when". If we do not prepare for it, we might face the consequences later in our life. From what i perceive, insurance plays a big role in terms of medical insurance, most family already had medical insurance.

So, start save for your retirement today, it doesn't matter if our salary is only few hundred dollars a month, it is not how much we earn is counted, it is how much we able to save every month. Prevention is better than cure. Don't let it ruin our life. We work very hard every single day, don't let retirement fund dampen our life where we suppose to relax and enjoy the nature wonders of the world, at least that was my opinion.

IMPACT ON OUR SELF- ESTEEM

by: Yeoh William

It's amazing how self-esteem can either be torn down or built up by the people that you are around. That's why it's so important to very carefully choose the people that you associate with. You see, these people can directly affect the way that you think about yourself. And, depending on the way you think about yourself, can affect the outcome of whether or not you succeed or fail in your life.

If you already have a low self-esteem, people who say negative things to you can absolutely crush you and make you feel even lower about yourself. If you don't have a low self-esteem, you still have to watch out for people who tear you down because they can say things to you that could cause you to create self-doubt and insecurities.

I love a quote from Mark Twain which, I believe, explains how important it is to surround yourself with great people to maximize your own success in life. Mark Twain once said, 'Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.

Don't let people belittle you and tell you that you can't do something great in life. Get around great people that can help you and show you that you can be as great as you want to be. Life is too short to be surrounding yourself with people who will only belittle you and make you feel that you are worthless.

Pain Is Good

by Ron Pate

Pain is a powerful ally in numerous ways. Indeed it is nature's way of telling us something needs attention and of encouraging us to take action. For example, if you burn your finger, pain tells you to remove your finger from the heat source and to dress the wound.

Without pain our bodies would quickly become injured to the point they would cease to function.Pain can be a similar ally in larger, non-physical ways. I have heard it said that one of the most powerful things which causes people to reach for, commit to, and achieve outstanding success is a strong level of discontent. And discontent is in a way emotional pain. Indeed, when you get to the place where it hurts so bad that you'll make the needed changes in your life, no matter what it costs, you're on your way up.

Life is about choices. We choose how we respond to any particular situation. Many, when they are in emotional pain whether triggered by family, financial, career, or other causes, look for ways to simply hide from the pain or cover it up. Instead, take a more proactive approach. Determine that you're not only going to take temporary steps to help you deal with the pain in the short term, but that you're going to take positive, concrete actions to address the root source of the pain.

Grit your teeth, determine once and for all that you're not looking back, and springboard yourself from failure to success, eliminating the situation that caused the pain once and for all. Learn from failures and setbacks, grow from experience, and you'll eventually rise to the top and realize your dreams.I've often considered that those who achieve outstanding levels of personal success have been through tremendous difficulties along the way. So is life. It tests those who would become extraordinary to ensure they're worthy. Like a sword that must be tempered in fire and honed to its razor sharpness through the most abusive of methods, life must hone us through the challenges we face.

So, remember, nearly every difficult challenge you face contains the seed of an equivalent benefit. The challenges you face may be essential stepping stones to success, without which you'd never reach your goals. Reframe your thinking along these lines and you'll indeed have a greater chance of achieving your dreams.

Management Lesson (Chapter 2)

A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the energy."

"Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull. "They're packed with nutrients."The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it actually gave him enough strength to reach the first branch of the tree.
The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally, after a forenight, there he was proudly perched at the top of the tree. Soon he was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot the turkey out of the tree.
Management Lesson: Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

Management Lesson (Chapter 1)

A little bird was flying South for the winter. It was so cold, the bird froze and fell to the ground in a large field. While it was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on it. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of dung, it began to realize how warm it was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung and promptly dug him out and ate him!
Management Lessons:
1) Not everyone who drops shit on you is your enemy.
2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
3) And when you're in deep shit, keep your mouth shut.

Make Yourself Present

The greatest gift you can give to someone is being Present

There is a special magic that happens when you acknowledge another person's existence. It doesn't have to be much... a smile, a kind word... just something to yes "hi, I know you're here.

"The closer they are to you though, the more of "you" they need, in order to feel that sense of commitment. It's very simple in its principles, not always as easy as it looks, yet farther reaching than you can ever imagine.

To make yourself "present" to someone, you have to bring yourself into the present moment fully, and remove all distractions so you can focus on being with that other person. Here are some hints to help you get there:

Maintain eye contact
When someone is talking to you, they can see where your focus is in your eyes. Looking away means your mind is there too. Looking them in the eye connects you.**

Listen
Don't pay any attention to that voice that's competing inside your head. Be silent, and really take in what they other person is saying.

Acknowledge what they said
"Uh huh... Yeah... Uh huh," is not acknowledgement. Make sure you let them know that you don't just hear what they say, you understand it too. Even paraphrase it in your own words and say it back, or ask them a question that furthers the conversation along.

Add to their conversation not your own
Your experience can be invaluable to them, but not if it's going off in some self-centered tangent. Make sure what you have to say is relevant, or else (again) they'll realize you weren't really paying attention.

Don't judge their viewpoint
This can be a tough one, because in order for you to understand them, you have to filter it through your own set of beliefs. You just have to keep your values to yourself, and not prejudge what you're hearing.

Forget your past
The mind is a funny thing most of the time. They'll say one thing and you'll be catapulted back to High School or Summer Camp and completely leave the present behind. If you get into those moments, get back to the Present. You'll get there by looking at the person with you and listening

Don't anticipate your future
We also like to race ahead, way too often. Even if our intention is to hurry up and get to the answer, racing too far ahead will leave the solution behind. Besides, the person you're with might veer off at any moment, leaving you once again, not paying attention.

Give them your time
Don't rush things. Time is your life. The other person knows you value your time, so when you give of your time, you give of yourself. They get your present when you give a whole bunch of your present moments.

** Be aware that eye contact varies in different cultures... and the connection that comes from it might be construed as disrespect. Stay within the boundaries of comfort here, or else you'll miss all other points.

Success is on the Other Side

Everybody wants success. Some people aim for it; others just talk about it. We all know what it looks like... when someone else has it. Often times it just seems like something too far out of reach. The truth is... success is closer than you think. It's just on the other side... you have to want it enough, and be willing enough to get it.

On the other side of fear
Fear is your biggest obstacle - fear of failure, fear of the judgment of others; fear of actually succeeding. It will trip you up every time. It will cause you to make decisions that may seem "right" at the time, but they're preventing you from actually getting over that wall.

On the other side of excuses
Success has no excuses. You either get it or you don't. The minute you find a reason not to take another step towards success is the moment you stop being successful. In the symphony of success, excuses are just noise.

On the other side of obstacles
Everyone faces changes; different ones at different times. We all handle the same challenges differently; we all have different results. It's how you handle each one and what you do with the results that count. An obstacle is something you either find a way around or allow to stop you. Remember, you've got to get passed obstacles in order to succeed.

On the other side of failures
Not everything works; even if it works for other people, the same thing just doesn't work for us. So what? Failure can either become an obstacle and an excuse or it can become your teacher in what not to do. What's it going to be?It takes effort, commitment and follow-through.

They call it a ladder of success for a reason... because you need to climb it in order to get somewhere. It's not an escalator. You just don't stand there and let it do the work for you. You have to do the work yourself. Sometimes it will be easy; other times you'll be carrying a heavy load on your shoulders. The ladder remains the same. Success still waits on the other side. It's going to take determination and persistence on your part to get up and over that wall.

Which side do you want to be on?

ROGER FINALLY DID IT

Roger Federer avenged two years of clay-court torment at the hands of Rafael Nadal, snapping the Spaniard's 81-match clay winning streak and denying him a historic sweep of the clay ATP Masters Series titles to win a fourth Hamburg title, 2-6, 6-2, 6-0.Federer won his first ATP Masters Series title of the year but 13th of his career, second only to Andre Agassi's record 17 titles.
To succeed we should never give up in life, even experienced the dry spell of four consecutive tournaments without a win, criticized heavily by media on his mental strength to eventually succeed in clay court, split up with his part time coach, Tony Roach, and numerous occassions become the 2nd best to "king" of clay court Spaniard Rafael Nadal, finally Roger did it in the Final on recent concluded Hamburg Master Series.

I was extremely impressed on your yesterday performance, your determination to prove to the world that you too can become a strong force on clay court and i cannot think of better occassion to prove it when you beat Rafa Nadal for the first time on European clay court but also ended 81 match winning streak on Rafa. You just inspire me to work harder and achieved massive results in shortest time. Hope you will win the Rolland Garros next week and join the elite hall of fame something that even Pete Samprass couldn't achieved.

Chelsea Salvage 2007 FA Cup

Chelsea claimed a 1-0 victory over Manchester United at the new Wembley thanks to Didier Drogba's extra-time goal. The victory was sweet as the FA Cup is Jose Maurinho missing during his three years tenure. With FA Cup triumped, Jose the "Special One" had won every single trophy available on English football.
This season was tough as compare to previous two seasons, not that MU was better but with never ending injuries crisis, that force Micheal Essien played in centre back position for much of the season. However, Jose handle the situation perfectly and deals with his available resources and come out with the goods. He did something that Claudio Ranieri could not, i mean Claudio was a good manager but he did not win enough trophies to stamp his credential.
Jose enjoy your deserved holiday, recharge batteries and come back again next year to lead Chelsea to another unforgettable year especially UEFA Champions League. Ramos, Jose.

TAKE CONTROL OF CHANGE

CAREER, LIFESTYLE, LIFE
The subject of "change" is one that people react to in many ways. It is a word that can instill both fear and delight, but often when someone gets absorbed in thoughts on change it is tending towards fear. The "fear of the unknown" is something both natural and inevitable; it can come in many forms. However, to be a success in your personal life, and enjoy it to the full, understanding the need for change, and how to cope with it positively, are very important.
Change is natural because it will always happen; from the moment you are born, changes take place within you and around you, constantly. Nature is all about change, about life cycles which naturally occur throughout the world.

For people who embrace change, or even willingly seek it with eyes open, the world does not seem a threatening place. Change is a part of a natural life that such people cope with competently, and even enjoy it. Other people may be happy as they are and never face an unwanted change in their lives, so fear of change is not something that crosses their path.

For millions of people, though, a time will come in their lives when a change happens they do not want to happen. A motorway may be planned through where their lifelong home stands; the firm they have worked for 40 years goes bust and they are out of a job; someone who has done their job in the same way for 10 years, may be frightful of planned changes by management that will affect the way they have to work.
Change is part of our lives. Do not fear of change. I had encounter some experience in my life, sometimes when we lost something, there are something better awaits us if we take courage to change and move on in our lives. We only need worry on how to find ways to achieve our mission, along the way of course there are bumpy roads along the journey, no doubt about it.

Choosing the Right Career Path

Choosing the right career path is one of the most defining decisions we can make in life. Our job not only says a lot about what kind of person we are, but will influence what type of car we drive, what kind of house we live in, the people we associate with, and more.
Unfortunately most people go to work everyday and put in a mediocre performance, day after day because their heart is just not in their job. They're not interested in learning more about the field that they work in, they don't get excited about new developments, and they just do what is absolutely necessary to keep their job. Most people live for the weekend and are robots during the week. That's 5 days of being a robot and 2 days of doing what you want to do. Why not pursue a passion for 5 days, while adding value to the lives of others, and leave 2 days for recreation and relaxation?

Life is just too short and fleeting to be spending so many precious hours each day doing something that makes us unhappy. It is impossible to do a job that we do not like and to feel fulfilled as a person, because our jobs take up such a large amount of our time. Our job is a big part of who we are.We have to get clear about what it is that gives us fulfillment in life, what fascinates us, or what we are passionate about.

Once our interests are defined, we have to think about what career paths are available in that area. Sometimes there will be clear paths to take, like when our passion is designing websites, the job options could be to become a web designer, web programmer, or similar positions. But other interests may need more creative ways of thinking, like if you are passionate about collecting rare coins, your path may not be so clear.

Because of the responsibilities of modern life and the necessity of money to support our lifestyle and family, we can't just quit our job and immediately pursue our passion. The important thing is that we are moving towards the goal of doing what inspires us in life. Without the clear focus and continual small steps towards achieving our dream job, we would just be kidding ourselves.

Rather than going to work each day and hating the things we do, we can appreciate the job for being a step towards doing what really inspires us. It is putting food on the table, paying the rent, and funding the way towards the right career path. "What is it that you like doing?

If you don’t like it, get out of it, because you’ll be lousy at it. You don’t have to stay with a job for the rest of your life, because if you don’t like it you’ll never be successful in it."

MONEY, MONEY & MONEY

Money is good! In this day and age that we live in, money is not only good, but absolutely essential. Besides air, it may be the next most important thing in life. Of course health, love, friendship, fitness, faith, and happiness are all very important too, but how do we eat, or pay rent, or go to the doctor without having money? Until we change society dramatically, money will always be number two on a scale of importance, with air being number one.

Many people form their opinions about money from an early age. Unfortunately this means that many untruths get picked up from those in our life that mean well. One of the biggest untruths is that money is evil and the cause of all our problems. This may have come from our parents or religious authorities or mentors trying to teach us their beliefs.

True, money has been involved in many of society's problems, but it is really the people that are causing the problems. Money is really just a tool that is used and abused by people. While there are many people willing to kill or die for money, there are more people using money to heal the sick and feed the poor. A good person will do good with money, while a bad person will usually do evil. A knife shouldn't be labeled evil because of a few bad people using them incorrectly.

Another common term that money has been burdened with is that it can't buy happiness. This is partly true yet mostly false. It is quite possible to have very little money and live a very happy and fulfilled life. But if you have less money than is required for survival and the bills are coming in, your landlord is chasing you, and your children are hungry.. how happy would you be?

Even if you do believe that money is evil and that money can't buy happiness, it is hard to argue that your life would not be better if you had a little more money. You may not want a million dollar home or a hundred thousand dollar sports car, but being able to pay the bills on time and eating good food should be the starting point for any happy individual.

There are ways to increase the amount of money you have with very little sacrifice to your current lifestyle. There are ways that are so simple that most people disregard the advice because they think money is not that easy to acquire. You don't needs accountants and financial advisors or even a large income to start becoming wealthy. All you need is commitment, persistence, and time to have more money.

THE POWER OF PASSION

Improving this single attitude makes your days fly by. You wake up excited to work. You make the right decisions. You get more done in less time. Improving this attitude affects everyone around you. They believe in you, trust you and want to support you. This one attitude can change your entire life for the better.

A vital attitude for you to constantly improve is YOUR PASSION.

Passion is a self-generated tool. You have the ability to motivate yourself; to concentrate on your purpose; to get yourself excited about what you do. Your attitude sets the mood for everyone around you. They get excited if you are excited. If you are fascinated, so are they. Recommendations you give to others that come from the heart have a greater impact.

Strive or Strife?

Prosperity and adversity is experienced each day by everyone but how can we keep the former in our lives?

The successful among us know and use certain traits in order for them to achieve their goals. Now some persons believe that these people were born this way when in fact they had to develop their winning traits.

Strivers have an eye for opportunity as they are quick to grasp the situation as it presents itself. In other words they more easily see the solution to a common need. Strifers fail to see these opportunities as they are busy complaining about life. They are the ones who are usually left behind.

Strivers know how to discipline themselves in order for them to reach their goals. While the strifer is out enjoying himself at the bar or in front of the television, the striver is busy putting his latest move in motion. Yet, he stills know the importance of downtime.

Strivers have a need to achieve. They are always looking forward to the next move or conquest. Strifers are satisfied with the mundane activities of day to day life.

Strivers have an appetite for work. They willingly put in long hard hours even if the returns are not immediate. Strifers are the ones who give up more easily in the quest to find success. They rarely use the power of persistence to their advantage.

Strivers know how to make stress work for them in a positive way. They often focus on the end result and not the process of reaching there. All the strifer can see is the obstacles and roadblocks to which he makes a hasty retreat.

Strivers know how to think for themselves. They may seek out the advice of others but after analyzing all the information they make their own decisions. The strifer is easily swayed by the opinions and thoughts of others.

Strivers normally like to be independent. They cherish being their own boss and the freedom it brings whether financially or personally. Many strifers are content with receiving a paycheck every fortnight of month. Which would you prefer wages or profits?

Strivers like to maintain a healthy cash flow. They know that profits are the measure of their business success. Since strifers fail to use their winning traits they have more of a cash trickle than a flow.

Do you have what it takes to be a striver? It takes time and work. The good thing is that if you are a strifer you can evolve into a striver. All it takes is the passion to develop the traits which will make you strive.

OLYMPIC EFFORT

The world paused for a few short days in August 2004 to honor Olympic athletes from all across the globe. They came from countries large and small, wealthy and poor, far and near: each one determined to be the best in the world in his or her chosen field of competition.

We were inspired by the amazing strength of swimmer Michael Phelps, the unswerving determination of gymnast Paul Hamm, and remarkable performances of thousands of others. Yet, the power of Michael Phelps is not that he had the strength to continue from race to race winning back to back gold medals. The amazing thing is that he had the courage to continue to train and race after the many times he lost the race or when he was exhausted or injured during his early years of training. He persisted in his goal to become an Olympic Athlete; the medals were simply a result of his preparation and perseverance. Likewise, the inspirational story of Paul Hamm is not that he fell in his third event and then got up and went on to win gold. The true greatness of Paul Hamm is that he got up and kept working after all those thousands upon thousands of times he fell during nearly a decade of training. His Olympic comeback was not unusual for Paul Hamm; it was part of his makeup, his commitment to excellence.

The Olympics is not just about a group of people coming together to make a single "Herculean" effort for three weeks in Athens. The magic of the Olympics is that it showcases thousands of athletes who have spent untold years of consistent, dedicated effort: athletes who refused to give up when the road was difficult, who believed in themselves when no one else would, who committed their whole heart to the dream of Olympic glory.

Too many of us quit at the first sign of resistance. The message of the Olympics is that we cannot afford to give up so easily. With regard to our own goals and desires, how can we say they cannot be achieved until our muscles are sore, our knuckles bloody, our creative intellect exhausted, and our determination to win has carried us through disappointment and defeat and on to victory? The winners in life realize that success is a result of Olympic-sized effort. Anything less is not enough. Persist, believe, work, commit, and you too will achieve your goals. That is the promise of the Olympics.

The Power of Enthusiasm

In 1983, a traveling salesperson named Ralph was transferred into a small rural town. He was met at the bus station by Darren, the only other person working in the same town. Darren had his bags packed for weeks, hoping that he would be transferred out. "I can't believe they're keeping me here even one more day, it's a terrible place to work," he complained, "the people are rude and skeptical and no one will let you in their house."

Yet, in the first week, Ralph had put on more successful demonstrations than Darren had in the previous two months combined! What made the difference? Did Ralph have more product knowledge than Darren? No, in fact he had just started with the company four months earlier. Was he a harder worker? No, in fact Darren sometimes worked extra hours late into the night. The real difference was Enthusiasm. The new guy was just excited about the product and the opportunity.

While Darren dragged himself from house to house, putting in his time with a martyr's attitude, the new guy went at it with an enthusiastic flair. He quickly assembled a group of excited customers who helped him spread the word about his product.

In no time, that small town was one of the most productive areas in the company. And Darren? He got transferred out all right -- straight to the unemployment line.

Do you have a project that is not progressing as rapidly as you would like? Are you sometimes frustrated when a really great idea only produces mediocre results? Just apply a little more enthusiasm! Soon it will become catchy and infect everyone around you. A little extra enthusiasm can mean the difference between success and failure. As the old saying goes ... the only difference between try and triumph is just a little "umph!"

To be successful, we need to copy Ralph's enthusiasm. I still remember a tagline from my leader until today that is "don't go to work because you need to work, if you are one of them, kindly don't waste my time". At the same time, i wasn't paid because i was in insurance line only paid through commission. Deep inside my heart, what so special about you that i need to work with you and not paid me salary. I just took up the challenge and see how good is him?

Today, after 5 years in the industry, i understand the "tagline" and it was demonstrated in the Darren and Ralph story above. We need to love our job, passionate about it, and the "umph" factor is very important because there was only small margin between success and failure. It just take us little extra passion, hardwork, and whatever it takes to be among the best. It takes only that, in my opinion, no secret whatsoever, all we need is enthusiasm and glue it inside our heart forever and is true to every industries throughout the world. Many people come to me said luck also very important, "no luck, do anything also no use", to me luck is only for those who prepare themselves everytime when there is challenge in front of him. Successful people look for opportunities or ways to improve themselves while person who give up always look for excuses. It's not easy, It's our choice to what type of lifestyle we want. Do we want to be the best and be everyone idol or mentor or do we just want simple and comfortable life. To me there is no right or wrong. However, everyone had only one life, why not take the risk and become the best because we had nothing to lose.

SUCCESS HABITS

Have you ever stopped to consider that a person's success or failure in life is predictable? This is one of those universal truths that is on my mind a great deal.

I believe that just a handful of habits make all of the difference in how a person's life turns out. It's not the things that we do once in a while that make the biggest difference, it's those things that we do consistently that make all of the difference. These are the things that become our foundational habits in life and determine our direction and ultimate destiny.

Here arefive simple success habits:

1. Show up on time.

2. Do what you say you will do.

3. Finish what you start.

4. Say please and thank you.

5. Be real nice.

These commonsense success habits seem almost too simple to mention but yet we all know how well these habits work. People who consistently exhibit these habits are the people we want as friends and colleagues. People that consistently exhibit these habits just have a way of ending up on top. They achieve their goals and help others in the process. It's true that we all probably learned about these habits when we were quite young.

For some of us, these habits have become the key forces that shape our lives. For others, these habits have become a constant source of frustration because they stand as tollbooths to progress. If we don't pay the toll, we can't pass through.I think about these habits and actually practice it every day. Try them for yourself and see what you think.

Project Alpha and the Spoon Benders

Written by Alan Bellows on April 16th, 2007 at 7:14 pm

In the late 1960s, a young Israeli man named Uri Geller gained a substantial amount of attention and fame following a collection of remarkable demonstrations on US and British television. In full view of astonished audiences, Uri was seemingly able to manipulate metal with his mind. Spoons softened in his hands, keys curled at the gentle stroke of his fingers, and he was able to cause compasses to wobble at his cajoling. He was also known to restart stopped wristwatches by merely holding them in his hands. According to Geller, these feats were the products of sheer will, a phenomenon known as psychokinesis.

In addition to his mental metallurgy and magnetism, the dashing young Israeli demonstrated potent psychic abilities, most notably in his ability to reproduce drawings which he had never seen. A volunteer would draw a picture while Uri was not watching, and Geller would use his gifts to attempt to reproduce the image. Although his recreations were not always completely accurate, they were sufficiently similar as to provoke astonishment from onlookers.

Geller's high-profile exploits in the 1970s significantly raised awareness of "paranormal science" worldwide, and since that time many have gone on to mimic his feats. Though there are throngs of skeptics who have reproduced his handiwork under the harsh light of reality, there are still a handful of yet-to-be-explained effects exhibited by Geller and his spoon-bending contemporaries.

IS MONEY EQUAL TO SUCCESS?

Like it or not, most often success is judged in terms of a person's bank balance. In a consumer-driven economy, a penchant for selling—ideas, concepts or products—goes a long way in earning money, as well as in being materially successful.

Despite consumerism, it would be a mistake to read success as a synonym for money. Although the two often go hand in hand, money itself cannot make you a success, and vice-versa.

What about the sages who left all to seek something much more intangible? Were they any less of a success? Would the Buddha have been more successful had he stayed with his palace and wealth? Money rarely defines a person's worth in the real sense of the term.

In an ideal world, money would change hands ethically and the money that you earn would be directly proportionate to your capability. In the real world, money is often a result of lineage, contacts, unethical shortcuts or exploitation, so that the respect it should demand in ideal circumstances eludes it.

Raise Your Standard Of Excellence

Excellence is a quality that cannot be taught from without, it must be birthed from within. It is something inside you that causes you to continually give your best in all that you do. It permeates all that you touch, so that the best about you shines in all that you do. People will see that there is something different about you. It starts with making a decision to yourself that you will raise your standard of excellence.

Perception is reality. What you believe about yourself will shine through in all that you say and do. If you truly believe that you're a winner and that you conduct yourself with excellence, it will be apparent. You'll have more confidence, and it will be clear in how you act. It's not enough to just tell yourself that you are a winner. You have to believe it, to know it in the very core of your being. Say to yourself, "I am a winner." Mean it.

Dress for success. Dress just a little bit better than everyone else at the office. If nobody tucks their shirt in, tuck yours in. If everyone else wears t-shirts, wear a collared shirt. Dress for the job you want, not the job that you have. You will create a mental separation between yourself and everyone else. You will stand out from the crowd, and the people above you will take notice. Remember that you're not fully dressed without a smile.

Never stop learning. Education is a lifelong journey, not a destination. If you learn something new every day, imagine how smart you will be one year from now. Take a class, learn a new skill. It may just be the deciding factor for you down the road.

Don't be too proud to ask for help. A wise man is one who recognizes his own weaknesses and chooses to work on them. It's not very smart to ignore your weaknesses, your competition will capitalize on them. First, identify your weakness. Then, find someone who is more successful than you are in that area, and learn everything you can about them

Hold yourself to a higher standard than everyone else. Ask yourself if you want to stay where you are forever. You don't want to be stuck in a rut, doing the same old job five years from now, do you? You want something more from yourself. Always demand ourselves, always find inspiration from somewhere to drive us higher up the mountain, never say enough in life, even if it is enough-contribute to the society, do you agree with me?

Boredom or Money Making Bliss

Retirement is one of the hot topic among the public. What is your definition of retirement? Boredom or Money Making Bliss? People are retiring at earlier ages than ever before. For some, it's their own choice. For others, the company they work for may offer incentives to take early retirement. At first the idea of retirement makes you giddy. No more alarm clocks.

Doing whatever you please whenever you darn well feel like it! But after awhile even the exciting adventures become boring and you find yourself thinking, "what the heck am I going to do with this extra time?"

We need a purpose. A reason to get up in the morning. Something to excite you. Keep your mind active. A passion! Being retired doesn't mean OLD! Actually, this can become the most exciting part of your life's journey. Because you do have the time to do whatever you want.

If you've had a secret dream throughout your working life, now's the time to dust it off and attack with gusto. Your interests can finally take center stage.

Maybe part of your dream is to follow your passion and make money while doing it. Who can't use extra income? That idea that's been picking at you for years can now be brought forward.

All of us will get to that retirement stage, the question is when. Actually we can make a difference to our lives when we so called "retired". For me, retire doesn't always mean sitting at home plays with grandchildren, or hanging out with old time buddy or play golf, unless if you want to. With standard of living keeps getting higher and inflation, our retirement money will soon be eaten up. Take a look at EPF department, they keep mention that when a person retire at @55years, their money gone in 3-5 years.

Do we want to suffer when we suppose to slow down, relax after decades of hustle and bustle at work. For me is definitely no. People are always curious and always hungry for information. Without doubt, they will pay for your knowledge. We can start writing and earn income. As long as our brain and our body allow us to function, nobody can stop us coz one thing "human capability is infinity". There is no limit to our potential, what stop us is just a question "if we really want it".

Come on folks, Work Hard and Play Hard coz Life is Short.

CONCENTRATION IS WHAT WE NEED

david, r u sure u can pull it off?

look scary man!i mean ur face

ok,talk less-action first

but i know the trick wor!!how

not so!

What we need is concentration. when we do so, we can even beat david copperfield!

GOOD ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING

A GOOD ATTITUDE is one of the most important assets you can have. With a better attitude:
1. relationships are fuller, more harmonious, and more beneficial.
Even if you have a great attitude already, with every improvement you make in your attitude, you'll have fewer troubles. The better your attitude, the easier it is to resolve conflicts.
2. health is better.
Vast reams of ever-accumulating negative emotions of all kinds are detrimental to your long-term health and that positive emotions are positively beneficial for your body and mind.
3. make more money.
People are hired and promoted as much for their attitudes as for their skill and knowledge.
4. make better decisions.
Studies show that people are more creative and better able to reason in a good mood than in a bad mood.
5. feel happier more often.
Concentrate on having a good attitude. Make your attitude one of your central concerns and you'll find ways and means. Make it a priority in your life to have a good attitude and you'll change your thoughts, exercise more regularly, eat quality food, get enough sleep, look at things with a healthier perspective, communicate better with your loved ones you'll naturally find all the ways you can improve your attitude, and you'll be motivated to do so.
